Bit 5 Blog 8.0 Released
The Bit 5 Blog development team is happy to announce the release of Bit 5 Blog 8.0. This new version adds more features and improves security. Please see the 8.0 release notes for further details.
Update: An older file was accidently included in 8.0 that caused comments to break. We have released version 8.01 that includes the correct file. If you have already downloaded 8.0, you just need to replace addcomment.php with the 8.01 version. We apologize for this problem.

Version 8.0 Release Canidate One (RC1) Released
A release canidate for Bit 5 Blog 8.0 has been released. We expect that this will be the final code for 8.0. Unless a major problem is found, there will not be a second release canidate and Bit 5 Blog 8.0 will be release within 2 - 3 days.

Version 8.0 Beta Released
A beta version of Bit 5 Blog 8.0 has been released. Users should note that this is a beta version and should not be considered stable. Bugs or other problems should be submitted into the bug traking system, as usual. Further details are available in the README file in the download.
Version 8.0 beta has many improvements over the 7.x series. This includes many security fixes, a new templating system, and easier options configuration. A detailed change log is not yet available.

Version 7.02 Released
Version 7.02 of Bit 5 Blog has been released. This release replaces index.php with a new version without errors. If you encounter any errors or other problems with this release, please submit these bug reports into the bug system located at http://sourceforge.net/projects/bit5blog/ This is another minor release that fixes known bugs. A major version of the software that adds features, rather than just fixes bugs is currently being worked on by the developers. We currently do not have any estimate as to when the next version will be released.

Version 7.01 Released
Version 7.01 of Bit 5 Blog has been released.
This release is a very minor update. The update changes the URL
in the "Powered by" line to the current Bit 5 Blog homepage (http://bit5blog.sourceforge.net) and also changes the default messages that is posted
when the software is installed.
This release can be downloaded via the download page.
